Paint Blog IV

I didn't make any audible comments, because the rain sounded nice. I am "deconstructing" the piece right now. By that I mean, I am breaking down "the mess" I have created to open up space and strengthen the overall backbone of the work. I plan to paint in some animals and detail next session. Thanks for stopping by!

Painting Blog III

Lots of crazy animals coming up on this piece in the next session or the one after.

Video interview I gave at my first publicly shared art show. This was a good experience for me, except a 500+ pound elephant sculpture that I poured days and days of work painting it, was ruined, when it fell multiple times trying to get it off the trailer and up to the show. The show also had a very poor turnout for anyone interesting in buying art. I learned a lot though, and my friends came out to support me. Thank you for that friends. RAW is run by nice people too; in a few years I think they could be a lot bigger and better.

Paint Blog I

I am back in the studio on a new painting. I am feeling rusty, but it's all part of the process. I got 4 hours in on it today. I am interested to see where it goes... The blue in the middle and the playful lines around definitely make me think of the water right now. Until next week. Also, please go to Salvae.com and listen to some of my band's new music & enjoy. Peace & Love, Nelekone

First Blog Post..ever

What's going on in William Nelekona's world?

1. 2 ideas for 2 products. They will come to fruition soon.
2. Finishing school up in September
3. Working on new Salvae music/releasing new music video 'Silverlake' in late June/early July!!!
4. Going to Redwoods/S.F. for a little adventure. Sailing, The Wharf, and Giant Sequoias/Ewoks await!
5. Slowly learning to Surf. (it's incredibly fun)
6. Gardening...my Japanese maple is dying and it's sad; I can't figure out what disease it has. On a brighter note, the tomatoes, bell peppers, basil, oregano, arugula, habaneros, and jalepenos are well!
7. I bought the new Roland SPD-30 Octapad. (Goal is to learn how to use it, so I can start crushing with it!)
8. Starting a new commission painting in the next few weeks, which I will update regularly on here.
9. Finishing this ˆˆˆˆˆˆˆˆ!!!! A LONG TIME AGO. (most recent pic)
